Biography

Imari currently leads Sales and Global Partnerships for Esports at WME | IMG. In this role, his focus is on partnering with brands to design esports strategies and activations that helps them authentically integrate within the world of esports. Imari believes that brands need an experienced partner to arrive at a purposeful and focused understanding of the entire esports value chain to inform their planning.

He combines his esports knowledge and leadership with more than 15+ years of experience in consumer marketing strategy, planning, and media to design uniquely distinctive brand opportunities around esports.

Prior to WME | IMG, Imari was VP of Cultural Strategy at sparks & honey. While there, he was the lead cultural strategist for the retained brand accounts. He focused on uncovering consumer insights and market place dynamics that highlighted the value of culture as a strategic business imperative.

He also produced the first Esports Industry Brand Summit Event, attracting dozens of individual brands, agencies, investors and operators and led the production of an industry standard esports 101 playbook and the subsequent Esports Brand User Manual.

Imari’s marketing, sales and advertising expertise is broad and varied and he continues to leverage his experience and industry relationships to create best in class consumer activations.
