Biography

Kent Wakeford is Chief Operating Officer for Kabam, one of the world’s leaders in AAA console quality games for mobile devices. Kent joined Kabam full-time in February 2011 after serving as a company advisor since February 2009. He has been instrumental in shaping the company’s game portfolio, adding talented development teams, overseeing publishing, marketing, corporate & business development, strategy, licensing, legal, and corporate communications.

Kent was responsible for the sale of Kabam’s Vancouver studios to Netmarble for a reported $700 to $800 million dollars. He oversaw the sale of Kabam’s legacy Facebook games business to RockYou and sale of its legacy mobile games to Gaea.

Prior, Kent played a pivotal role helping to raise over $240M in venture and strategic funding for Kabam from Alibaba, Google Ventures, Warner Bros., MGM, Canaan Partners, Intel Capital and Redpoint Ventures.
