Biography

Mike Lee is director of digital for the Global Partnerships division of AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company. AEG Global Partnerships oversees worldwide sponsorship sales and activation for over 120 world-class venues across five continents and numerous other assets including venues, sports franchises, events, tours, festivals and digital content among other AEG holdings.

Within AEG Global Partnerships, Lee is responsible for driving agency growth and sponsorship opportunities through the integration of numerous social and digital channels. He also directly oversees the development and execution of strategic social media initiatives for brand partners throughout the AEG portfolio, including viral marketing campaigns, social channels and user-generated content.

Lee has a stellar reputation for developing digital agency capabilities, expanding sponsorship opportunities and encouraging partners to take advantage of the growing the digital space. As a result, he helps innovate new digital offerings to meet the needs of potential and existing partners, drive new sponsorship sales and activation, and lead the development of the overall social and digital business strategy across Global Partnership’s portfolio of assets.

Prior to joining AEG Global Partnerships, Lee served as the director of digital strategy and sponsorships for Insomniac Events/Live Nation Entertainment. While there, he led the agency’s digital strategy and worked with brands such as Uber, Smirnoff, Jägermeister, 7Up, Anheuser-Busch InBev and Red Bull. He was also instrumental in helping the agency achieve several milestones including the launch of the first ever “Snapchat Live Story.” Additionally, he spearheaded the global live stream of Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, which has been broadcasted across YouTube Live, Yahoo Live and Facebook Live.

Prior to Insomniac Events/Live Nation Entertainment, Lee spent five years at OMD Worldwide in Los Angles, where he successfully helped launch three “Call of Duty” titles and oversaw digital media efforts for accounts such as Activision, CBS, CBS Sports and Levi Strauss & Co. to name a few.

Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
